The Plazmaman Pro Rear wheel drive Mitsubishi Lancer wagon made its
first full race pass under race conditions , and impressed from word GO .
The chassis was built by Glenn Hunter , who also pilots it down the strip .
The car is powered by a MAZSPORT built 20B triple rotory , utilising twin
garrett turbos , a
system ................. We made the trip up to Qld for the annual JAMBOREE
race meet . After a few licencing launches and passes to make the ANDRA
officials happy , we made our first full pass at a low 17 psi of boost ,
and stopped the clocks at an impressive 8.6 sec & 148 MPH . This was backed
up with a 8.5 & 147 MPH . Our expectations were exceeded to say the least ,
with Glenn , never driven any vehicle of this calibre previously
............... A few teething issues were found , and a whole lot of
valuable data was attained during the weekend . we decided to pack it up and
regroup for the next meeting , and come out harder and stronger ...........
The W2A system performed faultlessly all weekend , and with an ambient temp
in the region of 30 - 32 deg , we seen ambient air temps all weekend long -
which is the norm running such low boost ............. Many other race cars using Plazmaman products made the trip up north as well , with many making the finals . Here are some shots of the day ...............see yas at the rack .
