DRY SUMP DAY - We had to construct a

rigid but well designed sump to take the punishment

of circuit race . The  Ford engine uses part of the

sump to tie in and strengthen the whole engine , incl

holding/bracing together  the bottom part of the gearbox .

Some 12 hours labour went into this sump , and it was

kept close to the V8 Supercar sump specs .

Welding was done on the block to stop warping .
